Radishes With Butter And Salt

Radishes With Butter And Salt

This is by far the easiest, most chic recipe you will ever make. We had date night last night and the theme was a night in Paris. So I started off the evening serving radishes with butter and salt. Brace yourself because this is so simple, you’ll hardly remember even making it.

This classic French snack has an amazing balance of flavors. Spicy, crisp radishes, creamy salted butter and crunchy maldon salt. Add a toasted baguette and you’ve got yourself a showstopper!

Serves 4

Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch radishes
  • 4 oz salted butter, at room temperature (I like Kerrygold)
  • Maldon salt
  • 1 baguette
Directions:

Slice a few of the radishes thin, place the remaining whole ones in a small bowl of maldon salt.

Slice the baguette thin on the diagonal and lightly toast until just slightly golden, let cool.

Spread each piece with butter, top with a sprinkling of maldon salt and radish slices.

Arrange on a platter with the whole radishes in salt and some extra butter.

Dip the whole radishes in the salt and spread on a generous amount of butter to enjoy as well.

This pairs perfectly with a Kir Royale or a pouilly fuisse .
