Quick Entertaining Tip
When it’s time to set the table for holiday gatherings, I like to add some special touches that my guests will enjoy. I have a couple of quick ideas to add to your table. I like to put little antique candy dishes filled with holiday themed candy down the center of the table with my flowers and candles. This year, shared candy dishes probably isn’t the best idea so another option is to place individual treats at each place setting for guests to enjoy after dinner or on the way home.
I simply buy a nice box of chocolates (these are milk chocolate filled with salted caramel) then place a couple pieces in glassine bags and tie with twine or ribbon. Each plate gets a little bag of chocolates which is an added detail your guests will appreciate. If you have a larger group, tie a place card to each bag so your guests know where to sit.
