Blueberry Superfood Smoothie

Starting the morning off with a blueberry superfood smoothie is a great way to ensure you’re getting the nutrients you need everyday. This blueberry superfood smoothie is packed with greens, blueberries and a blend of hemp, flax and chia seeds. It’s sweetened with dates which are packed with vitamins and are very heart healthy. I use almond milk in this smoothie, but you could also use regular milk, cashew milk or coconut water.
Ingredients for 2 smoothies:
2 cups almond milk
1 scoop protein powder of your choice (I use this)
1 scoop collagen peptides
1 tbsp each flaxseed, chia seed, hemp seed
2 handfulls spinach
2 dates
1 banana
1 cup blueberries
A handful of ice
Directions:
Add all the ingredients in the order they appear above into a blender and blend until smooth. Divide into 2 glasses and enjoy!
I’ve used many different blenders over the years and nothing compares to a Vitamix. It’s an expensive blender, but it is worth every penny as I use it all the time. It’s not just for smoothies. It’s also handy for blending soups, making frosty cocktails, nut butters, batters, dips, spreads and salad dressings. It might just be my most used kitchen item, I can’t recommend it enough.
