Christmas Eve Dinner Party

Christmas Eve Dinner Party

Christmas Eve is just around the corner, Yay! In case you are still struggling with what to serve, I am sharing my Christmas Eve dinner party menu with you. Everything you need for a festive, delicious Christmas Eve dinner is right here. Let’s dive in!

The Cocktail Hour:

I like to serve champagne to start the evening off with lots of good cheer!

These little bites pair perfectly with bubbles.

A cheese board is always a good idea too.

The Main Event:

Perfect Roast Chicken

English Roasted Potatoes

Yorkshire puddings

Sautéed Green Beans With Crispy Pancetta

  • 1 1/2 pounds green beans, stems trimmed
  • Kosher salt
  • 4 oz pancetta, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Add beans to a pot of boiling salted water and cook for about 5 minutes or until just tender.

Drain the beans and then place in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking.

Meanwhile, cook the chopped pancetta in a pan over medium heat until crisp.

Remove pancetta with a slotted spoon and set aside on a plate.

Add the butter to the same pan used to cook pancetta. Once melted, add in the green beans and sauté until warmed through.

Season with salt and pepper then transfer to a platter, add the crispy pancetta to the top and serve.

Pan Gravy:

Once you remove the chicken and vegetables from the pan to rest, place the pan on the stove over medium-low heat, add 3 tablespoons of butter to the drippings, whisk in 1/4-13 cup flower, depending on desired thickness and cook for 1 minute. Then whisk in some chicken stock until you get the consistency you want. I personally like this meal with a thinner gravy. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Wine Options:

Red – Syrah or Pinot Noir

White – Pinot Gris or Sauvignon Blanc

Claudette Approved

To End The Evening:

Chocolate Pie, I use this recipe for the pie crust

Coffee

Assorted Christmas Cookies of your choice

Chocolate Pie

Happiest Holidays to you and yours.
