Adult Swim Blueberry Lemonade
This Adult swim blueberry lemonade is a perfect refreshing summer cocktail. It’s tart and a little sweet with just a hint of basil to balance it all out. I predict I’ll be seeing a lot of these in my future! Now I just need a pool to lounge by, and I’ll be all set!
- 3 oz gin
- 3 oz lemonade
- 1/2 a lemon, juiced
- 1 1/2 oz blueberry basil simple syrup (recipe follows)
- Club soda
- 2 basil leaves
- 2 lemon wedges
In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, lemonade, blueberry simple syrup and lemon juice over ice and shake until ice cold. Pour into 2 glasses and top with club soda. garnish your adult swim blueberry lemonade with fresh basil leaves and a lemon wedge.
Blueberry Basil Simple Syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 8-10 basil leaves
Combine the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes. Pour mixture through a mesh strainer into a glass container and refrigerate until cold. If you need it right away, (and why wouldn’t you?) you can pop it in the freezer to chill it quickly. Store remaining syrup in the refrigerator for future cocktails. It will last for a week.
