Linda’s Hello Dollies

When I was 12, my mom, sister and I went on a girl’s camping trip to Turquoise Lake with our family friends. Just us girls fishing, hiking, cooking around a campfire and playing games. To this day, it is one of my favorite memories. We stayed in our friend’s pop-up camper, all cozied up in our sleeping bags, giggling the night away. I can still remember all of the amazing meals we had, why does everything taste better when cooked over a campfire? One night, Linda brought out a box of treats that changed my life! Is that too dramatic? Sorry, I can’t help it, these are just that good.
Chocolate, coconut and pecans all baked together over a buttery vanilla wafer crust! Drool!
It’s been a while since I’ve had them, so I reached out to Linda to see if she would share her recipe with me. I made them right away and was instantly whisked back to our special girl’s weekend. Linda’s hello dollies are easy to make and are full of rich delicious flavor. Make them today, thank me tomorrow!
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups of crushed vanilla wafers
- 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350F
Mix the melted butter and crushed vanilla wafers together until combined.
Press the mixture into a 9×13-inch pan.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the crust, followed by the coconut then the pecans.
Drizzle the can of condensed milk over the top, do not stir.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.

I am so honored! Hello Dollies are our long time tradition! Not only are they delicious they remind us of so many loving memories!
